Resolution #2 Authorization to Convey Wastewater Treatment Services to Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority

BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board, on behalf of Marion Sewer District No. 1 and the Hamlet of Marion Sewer District, hereby requests, pursuant to Public Authorities Law§1199-ee, that the Wayne County Water and Sewer Authority provide wastewater treatment and conveyance services for the benefit of the sewer users located in Marion Sewer District No. 1, the Hamlet of Marion Sewer District, and any future extensions thereof; and
BE IT FURTHUR RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Wayne County Water & Sewer Authority, Deputy and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #3 Reject all RFP Driveway Sealing bids for 2026

BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board has reviewed the driveway sealing bids for 2026 and have made a decision to reject all RFP for this project; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.

BE IT RESOLVED, Authorize the Town Board to request RFP’s for the driveway sealing bids for 2026; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #5 Local Law #2-2025 Expand Residency Requirements for Deputy Town Clerk Position

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board met and held a Public Hearing on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 6:30pm in the Marion Court Room to expand the residency requirements for the Deputy Town Clerk position.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the adding Local Law #2-2025, Expand Residency Requirements for the Deputy Town Clerk position to include all Wayne County residents; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Marion Town Clerk and Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #6 Local Law #3-2025 Amend Fee Schedule for 2026

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board met and held a Public Hearing on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 6:30pm in the Marion Court Room to amend the Town of Marion Fee Schedule for 2026 and;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the amended fee schedule to begin on January 1, 2026 and;
BE IT RESOLVED, that a copy of the amended Fee Schedule for the Town of Marion can be obtained at the Marion Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours and;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk and all Department Heads.
Resolution # 7 Local Law #4-2025 Amend Marion Cemetery Rules and Regulations

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board met and head a Public Hearing on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 6:30pm in the Marion Court Room to amend the Marion Cemetery Rules and Regulations and;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board approves the amended Marion Cemetery Rules and Regulations and;
BE IT RESOLVED, that a copy of the new Marion Cemetery Rules and Regulations can be obtained at the Marion Town Clerk’s office during regular business hours and;
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #8 Authorize Hiring Caylin Stappenbeck as Part Time Deputy Town Clerk

WHEREAS, Heidi Levan, Marion Town Clerk has recommended hiring a part time Deputy Town Clerk; now
BE IT RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board accepts said recommendations and authorizes hiring Caylin Stappenbeck 4265 Heather Rd. Marion, NY 14505 effective December 22, 2025, at remuneration of $19.00 per hour with a maximum of 26 hours for 2025 with no holiday pay for 2025 to be taken from account # 14101.01.0.257; and
BE IT RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Caylin Stappenbeck, Town Clerk, and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #9 Authorize Hiring Caylin Stappenbeck as Full-Time Deputy Town Clerk

BE IT RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board accepts said recommendations and authorizes hiring Caylin Stappenbeck 4265 Heather Rd. Marion, NY 14505 effective January 1, 2026, at remuneration of $19.00 per hour for 2026 from account # 14101.01.0.036; and
BE IT RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Caylin Stappenbeck, Town Clerk, and the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #10 Authorize Scheduling Organizational Meeting for 2026

BE IT RESOLVED, Authorize the Town Clerk to advertise in the legal newspaper for the Town of Marion as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED, The Marion Town Board Organizational meetings for 2026 will be held on the Monday, January 5, 2026. The meeting will be held in the Marion Court Room located at 3827 N. Main Street, Marion, NY 14505 and will start at 6:30 p.m. All meetings are open to the public; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk.
Resolution #11 Authorize Holding of Unused Accumulated Benefits to Steven Taber, Deputy Highway Superintendent

WHEREAS, The Marion Town Board acknowledges that Steven Taber, currently an hourly highway employee for the last 23 years for the Town of Marion Highway Department has been elected to the position of Highway Superintendent starting January 1, 2026; and
WHEREAS, The Marion Town Board has granted permission for Steven Taber to retain his accumulated unused sick, personal and vacation benefits in the Marion Highway Reserve funds until his retirement from the Town of Marion;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that at the time of Steven Taber’s retirement, the Marion Town Board will meet and hold a public hearing to move funds from the Highway Reserve Funds to account #50101.01.0.058 and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board acknowledges the amount of accumulated benefits not to increase for a total for Steven Taber is $19,766.11; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board authorizes the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Steven Taber and Principal Account Clerk, Kathy Cauwels.
