Zoning Board Meeting January 26, 2021

January 26, 2021

Time: 6:34pm. Gregg Bell called the meeting to order.

Present: Gregg Bell, Zachary Bartlett, Dan Sargent, John Lonneville and Martha Rich
Absent: Michael Hershelman
Also present: Emily and David Maynard

6:42 pm – Gregg Bell announced that the voting members are Gregg Bell, John Lonneville , Dan
Sargent, Zachary Bartlett and Martha Rich

6:43 pm – Gregg asked the board if they had any comments or questions regarding the previous meeting
minutes or workshop summary. No comments.

Martha Rich made a motion to approve the minutes from December 29, 2020
Zachary Bartlett seconded the motion. All in favor. None opposed. Motion carried.

New Business: Gregg Bell stated that there is one item on tonight’s agenda.
6:44pm –Application A-1-21: David Maynard: Requesting an area variance for a building and attached
lean to within 3ft of the property line at 4831 Farnsworth Rd Marion, NY 14505

6:45pm – The board was presented with proof of the neighbor notifications and had no questions.
Gregg Bell and the board reviewed the Agricultural Data Statement, no significant findings or
questions from the board.
Martha Rich made a motion to approve the Neighbor Notification, Agriculture Data Statement and
SEAF. Zachary Bartlett seconded the motion. All in favor.

6:50pm –Gregg Bell asked Mr. Maynard to explain the project
Mr. Maynard stated he would like to build a pole barn 30’W x 36’L x 16’H. The driveway of the house will
separate the house and barn. He is asking for a reduction of the side variance from 16’ to 3’. Also, the
barn will be in front of a corner of the house so they will need a variance to have the building in front of
the house. My. Maynard provided a DWG to the board for location.

6:53pm –Gregg Bell opened the Public Hearing.

6:54pm –Gregg Bell closed the Public Hearing.

6:58pm –Gregg Bell reviewed the Area Variance worksheet with the Board, completed worksheet is
available in applicant’s folder.

7:14pm – Gregg Bell asked the board if they had any additional questions of comments.

7:15pm –Martha Rich made a motion to approve the application per the plans presented within 3’ of the
property line. Daniel Sargent seconded the motion.
No additional questions from the Board

7:16pm – All approved. None opposed. Motion carried Application A-1-21 approved.

7:17pm – No old business

7:18pm– Martha Rich moved to adjourn the meeting. Daniel Sargent seconded. Meeting adjourned
