A Town Board meeting of the Town of Marion, Wayne County, NY was held on Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in the Marion Court Room.
Supervisor Johnson called the meeting to order at 6:30 pm with a roll call done by Kimberly Williams, Deputy Clerk of the Board.

Supervisor Johnson asked everyone to stand and give the Pledge of Allegiance.

Resolution #508-2025 Authorize to Set Public Hearing to use Unappropriated Fund Balance
On a motion by Councilman Cramer and seconded by Councilwoman Herman

The following resolution was removed
WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board needs to utilize Unappropriated Fund Balance for the use of hiring an Human Resources Attorney; and
BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board authorizes the public hearing to be set for Monday, June 9th 2025 at 6:30pm; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk
Resolution #509-2025 Authorize to Set Public Hearing to use Reserve Funds
On a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilwoman Taber

The following resolution was approved.
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board Authorizes needs to use Reserve Funds to decommission the tank at the Marion Waste Water Treatment Plant and;
BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board authorizes the public hearing to be set for Monday, June 9th 2025 at 6:30pm; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk
Resolution #510-2025 Authorize Hiring Human Resource Attorney David Hou
On a motion by Councilman Cramer and seconded by Councilman Lonneville

The following resolution was approved.
WHEREAS, the Marion Town Board authorizes the hiring of Human Resource Attorney, David Hou from Bond, Schoeneck and King to perform an impartial investigation of the complaint received by the Town of Marion.
BE IT RESOLVED, the Town Board authorizes the payment of $280.00 per hour to perform investigation and provide a report to the Marion Town Board upon completion and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Principal Account Clerk and David Hou

With no further business, on a motion by Councilman Cramer and seconded by Councilwoman Herman, Supervisor Johnson closed the meeting at 7:10 pm.
