A workshop of the Town Board of the Town of Marion, Wayne County, NY was held on Monday, June 4, 2018.  This meeting started at 6:30 pm at the Marion Municipal Building.

Supervisor Deming called the meeting to order at 6:30pm.

Joan Fisher, Councilwoman

Ronald Lonneville, Councilman

Nick Deming, Supervisor

ABSENT:

OTHERS IN ATTENDANCE: Perry Howland, Sun & Record; Jeff Craig, Waste Water Treatment Plant Supervisor; Caryn Devlin, Town Historian; Residents: Kenny Casler, Judy Casler, Vicky Mullin, Adam Casper, Alyshia Casper, Cesar Cruz.

 

The following items were discussed:

Discussion:

  1. 1. Harvest in the Hamlet
  2. Easements for Mill Street Properties
  3. Town Park vandalism
  4. MOU—Waste Water Treatment Project

Citizen’s Comments:

Cesar Cruz spoke to the Marion Town Board regarding an Eagle Scout project that Cesar would like to

hold at the Marion Town Park on July 20th.  This would be a carnival for migrant children in the area.  It

would allow migrant children to meet other children in the area.  The Marion Town Board was happy to

hear from Cesar and will support his efforts.

 

Resolutions:

  1. Easements related to Mill Street Project
  2. Committee for Town Festival
  3. Retirement

 

Resolution #6012018 Authorize Supervisor to sign easements related to Mill Street Project

On a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilwoman Smith

ADOPTED:      Ayes:  5 Bliek, Lonneville, Smith, Fisher, Deming

Nays: 0

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes Supervisor Deming to sign the easements related to Mill Street construction project.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Supervisor Deming; Wayne County Water Sewer Authority;  Dave Doyle, MRB;  and the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #6022018 Authorize Committee Setup for Town Festival

On a motion by Councilwoman Fisher and seconded by Councilwoman Smith

ADOPTED:      Ayes:  5 Bliek, Lonneville, Smith, Fisher, Deming

Nays: 0

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes Supervisor Deming to set up a committee for the Marion Town Festival.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to Supervisor Deming and the Principal Account Clerk.

 

Resolution #6032018 Establish Standard Work Days for Elected/Appointed Officials

On a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilwoman Fisher

ADOPTED:      Ayes:  5 Bliek, Lonneville, Smith, Fisher, Deming

Nays: 0

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board adopts the attached Standard Work Days for Elected and Appointed Officials.

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to New York State Comptroller’s Office, Retirement System and the Principal Account Clerk.

With no further business, on a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilman Bliek, Supervisor Deming recessed the meeting at 6:55pm.
