SPECIAL TOWN BOARD MEETING

A special meeting of the Town Board of the Town of Marion, County of Wayne, in the State of New York, was held at the Marion Town Hall, 3823 North Main Street, Marion, NY on the 22nd day of August, 2016.

PRESENT: Laverne Bliek, Councilman
Michael Fonte, Councilman
Ronald Lonneville, Councilman
Monica Deyo, Supervisor

ABSENT: Nathan Kauffman, Councilman

Supervisor Deyo called the meeting to order at 7:00pm. The purpose of the meeting was to authorize a Public Hearing and publication of property assessment list for the Intent to apply for Restore NY Funding for Main Street Marion Revitalization.

RESOLUTION 082216
AUTHORIZE PUBLIC HEARING AND PUBLICATION OF PROPERTY ASSESSMENT LIST FOR THE INTENT TO APPLY FOR RESTORE NY FUNDING FOR MAIN STREET MARION REVITALIZATION

On a motion by Councilman Lonneville and seconded by Councilman Fonte, the following resolution was
ADOPTED: Ayes: 4 Bliek, Fonte, Lonneville, Deyo
Nays: 0

WHEREAS, it is the intent of the Town of Marion to apply for Restore NY Funding for Main Street Marion Revitalization; and

WHEREAS, the following five (5) properties have indicated their intent to apply for Restore NY Funding for Main Street Marion Revitalization:

Project Name: Main Street Revitalization

List and sequentially number all properties submitted for this project. Properties with both a demolition/destruction phase AND a rehabilitation/reconstruction phase must use separate lines to define EACH project phase. This list must be published in a local daily newspaper for three consecutive days and be subject to a public hearing.

AND BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to advertise in the legal newspaper for the Town of Marion that a Public Hearing will be held on September 12, 2016 @ 7:00 PM @ the Marion Municipal Room, 3827 N. Main Street, Marion, for the purpose of submitting an application for Restore NY Funding for Main Street Marion Revitalization; and
BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to publish this resolution in the legal newspaper for the Town of Marion for three (3) consecutive weeks.

RESOLUTION 082316
AUTHORIZE PURCHASE OF LAPTOP COMPUTER

On a motion by Councilman Bliek and seconded by Councilman Fonte, the following resolution was
ADOPTED: Ayes: 4 Bliek, Fonte, Lonneville, Deyo
Nays: 0

WHEREAS, Duane Smeatin, Code Enforcement Officer, has recommended purchasing a laptop computer; now

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the purchase of a laptop computer for the Code Enforcement Officer in an amount not to exceed $791.97 (attached quote) to be appropriated from account 80102.1.0.29; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board authorizes the transfer of $791.97 from account 80101.1.0.102 to 80102.1.0.29; and

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Marion Town Board directs the Clerk of the Board to give a copy of this resolution to the Code Enforcement Officer and the Account/Audit Clerk.

With no further business, on a motion by Councilman Bliek and seconded by Councilman Lonneville, Supervisor Deyo closed the Special Town Board Meeting at 7:20pm.
