MARION PLANNING BOARD MINUTES
December 6, 2016

Time: 7:34m. Fred Walker called the meeting to order.

Present: Fred Walker, chairman; William VanDeWeghe, David Vinke, David Knight, Dan Brooks, and Carrie Deming

Absent: John Cornell

Also Present: Virginia Mayville

Minutes: Fred Walker asked the board if there was any discussion about the minutes of November 7, 2016.
No discussion.

Carrie Deming moved to approve the minutes. William VanDeWeghe seconded.

All in favor. None opposed. Motion carried. Minutes approved.

New Business: Fred stated that there are two items on tonight’s agenda.

7:36pm Application 6-16: Roger Dunlap—3477 Boss Rd. Marion, subdividing 51 acres into 2 lots: Lot 1: 28.78 acres; Lot 2: 22.5 acres. To separate either side of the road into individual tax parcels in order to sell the house with all the land on that side of the road. Fred Walker read through the application and the SEAF. There were no significant findings on the SEA form and the application is complete. Fred Walker stated the folder also contained the map and legal notice for the Public Hearing.

7:40pm – Fred Walker opened, and then closed the Public Hearing. There were no members of the public present, only the applicant’s representative who had no comment.

7:41pm – Fred Walker asked if the board members had any additional questions or comments.
No additional questions or comments from the board members.

7:43pm – Dave Vinke moved to approve Application 6-16. Dan Brooks seconded the motion.
All approved. None opposed. Application 6-16 approved.

7:46pmApplication 7-16: John Williams—5177 Russell Rd. Marion, subdividing 4.721 acres into 2 lots: Lot 1: 3.429 acres; Lot 2: 1.292 acres. To separate the parcel into two parcels one to stay with the house and barn and the other for farm land.

7:48pm – Fred Walker opened, and then closed the Public Hearing. There were no members of the public present, applicant was not present nor was a representative.

7:49pm –Fred Walker read through the application and the SEAF. There were no significant findings on the SEA form. The application is not complete. There are questions that are not answered that the applicant needs to complete. Fred Walker stated the folder also contained the map and legal notice for the Public Hearing.

7:51pm – David Vinke stated as a board we should not be considering an incomplete application.

7:52pm – Fred Walker asked if the board had any issues with the map. William Vandeweghe stated that it is unclear how the subdivision will affect the septic system, which is a question for the applicant.

8:02pm – Dan Brooks made a motion to table the application until the application has been completed in its entirety and the board members questions regarding the application are addressed by the applicant.

David Vinke seconded the motion.

8:08pm –Fred Walker asked if the board members had any additional questions or comments.
No additional questions or comments from the board members.

8:17pm – Dan Brooks moved to table Application 7-16. David Vinke seconded the motion.
All approved. None opposed. Application 7-16 tabled

8:18 pm– David Vinke moved to adjourn. Dan Brooks seconded. Meeting adjourned.
